Director’s Foreword
Assalamu’alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh,
Peace be upon us all.
Praise be to Alloh SWT for His mercy and grace, so that we can continue to strive to advance Indonesia’s agricultural potential, especially in banana leaf commodities.
Let me introduce myself, I am Endang Syarifudin, with experience in management for approximately 17 years, I feel proud and honored to lead this company as the director of a high-quality and sustainable banana leaf exporter. As a young professional, I have a vision and mission to bring Indonesian agricultural products, especially banana leaves, to the global market while upholding the values of environmental sustainability.
Banana leaves, which we often consider a simple commodity, have extraordinary potential. In addition to being an inseparable part of the Nusantara culinary tradition, banana leaves also have high economic and ecological value. We at this company are committed to producing export-quality banana leaves through responsible and sustainable agricultural practices.
By following these steps, banana leaf farmers can produce high-quality banana leaves that meet market demand and provide maximum added value.
We believe that quality and sustainability are two sides of the same coin. Therefore, we always strive to:
Implement environmentally friendly agricultural practices.
Empower local farmers and improve their welfare.
Ensure that every product we export meets international quality standards.
We realize that this journey is not easy. However, with the support of all parties, from farmers, employees, business partners, to the government, we are confident that we can achieve our goal of becoming a trusted and sustainable banana leaf exporter.
Finally, I would like to thank all parties who have contributed to the development of this company. Let’s go together

As professional banana leaf farmers, we will share how to obtain high quality banana leaves:
1. Selecting Superior Varieties:
Select banana varieties that are known to produce wide, thick, and tear-resistant leaves. Some common varieties chosen for leaf production include Raja bananas, Kepok bananas, and Tanduk bananas.
Make sure the seeds used are healthy and free from disease.
2. Proper Land Preparation:
Choose fertile, loose, and well-drained land.
Carry out proper land preparation, such as plowing and loosening, to ensure that plant roots can grow optimally.
Make beds or ridges if necessary, especially in areas that tend to be wet.
3. Proper Planting:
Plant with the right distance so that the plants are not too close together and get enough sunlight.
Make a planting hole that is large enough and add organic fertilizer such as compost or manure.
Plant the seedlings carefully and make sure the roots are well covered.
4. Intensive Care:
Watering: Water regularly, especially during the dry season. Make sure the soil remains moist but not waterlogged.
Fertilization: Provide fertilizer regularly, both organic and inorganic fertilizers, to meet the nutritional needs of the plants.
Weed Control: Weed regularly to remove weeds that can interfere with plant growth.
Pest and Disease Control: Monitor regularly and control pests and diseases if necessary. Use environmentally friendly control methods if possible.
Pruning: Prune old, dry, or damaged leaves to maintain plant health and stimulate the growth of new, better quality leaves.
5. Proper Harvesting:
Harvest banana leaves at the right time, when the leaves have reached their maximum size and have a fresh green color.
Use sharp and clean harvesting tools to cut the leaves so they are not damaged.
Harvest carefully so as not to damage the parent plant.
6. Good Post-Harvest Handling:
After harvesting, banana leaves must be immediately cleaned of dirt and sap.
Sort to separate good quality leaves from damaged or defective leaves.
Store banana leaves in a cool and humid place to maintain their freshness.
If necessary, do good packaging to protect banana leaves from damage during transportation.
By following these steps, banana leaf farmers can produce high-quality banana leaves that meet market demand and provide maximum added value.
